6 seconds · no audio · recorded on a real case board
This is the whole loop of a case, in six seconds. A suspect is picked up from the cast strip; the board immediately shades every square that suspect's testimony has already ruled out, and lights the ones left. Tapping a lit square places them.
Nothing here is a hint system. The lighting is the constraints you have already been told about, drawn instead of remembered — one person per row, one per column, and whatever their statement said about rooms, furniture and neighbours. The squares it leaves lit are the squares the rules permit, and choosing between them is the puzzle.
