Claiming a row from the margin

8 seconds · no audio · recorded on a real case board

Press the margin beside a row with a suspect selected, and the board answers immediately with everything that claim rules out.

You often know which row someone is in long before you know which square. The margin beside each row and column is a claim target: select a suspect, press the margin, and that row is theirs.

The board answers the moment you do it. Everyone else loses that row; everything the claim rules out for the people the testimony speaks about shades itself. It is the fastest way to turn a half-deduction into visible progress without committing to a square you cannot justify.
